Thanks!
I want to thank all the folks who have already purchased my book
and CD! Your response at the Nutmeg and Pocono festivals was heartwarming indeed. Everything will be available
for the first time at the Albany Dulcimer Festival on March 5, 2011, AND at the Cranberry Festival (on the SUNY campus in
Cobleskill, NY, on July 22, 23, and 24. AND, I'll be returning to the Nutmeg Festival in Milford, CT on October 14 and
15. Hope to see you at these festivals!
To
the best of my knowledge, there is no such collection of dulcimer arrangements or a CD devoted exclusively to Manx
music on this side of the Big Pond. I guarantee you've not heard most of these melodies before, and I further predict
that you will become as smitten by all of them as I have.
It is my fervent hope that my book and CD will both enlighten and
delight folks far beyond the Isle of Man.

& Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, Schmidt & Jones, Sondheim, and Schwartz, among others. Click on the photo
for a complete list of Musical Comedy titles already in her repertoire. You'll also find a list of some of the theaters

With an extremely varied repertoire, Music Lady Carol will perform for community choirs, school and church groups, individual
singers, and instrumentalists. Her experience covers everything from Zadok the Priest to Madame Butterfly to Verdi's Requiem
to the Hindemith Clarinet Sonata, to the Bolling Jazz Flute Suite and the Brahms Horn Concerto (to mention just a few!)

Need something to practice with? Or are you performing in a space where a live accompaniment would not be practical?
With her handy-dandy synthesizer, Carol can provide you with a single line of piano, a rhythmic combo, or a fully-orchestrated
instrumental accompaniment on a professional-quality CD.

When the big fancy harp is just too fancy, the more intimate Folk (Celtic) Harp may be just right. Huge repertoire of
traditional tunes for your special function. Also available as workshop leader or clinician, and will give private lessons

The newest avenue of her musical adventures, Carol enjoys playing all types of "old-tyme" country music. Need a
bass player for your band? Available for single gigs here and there.
|
|

A five-member "eclectic, old-tyme, acoustic folk band," with which Carol sings and plays bass, folk harp, mountain dulcimer,
melodica and piano. A fine CD is available -- "Vacant Chair," released in November of 2006. Two more CD's are
in the planning stages, including a special Christmas album.
|
|

Carol and her husband carry all their musical gear in their nifty home on wheels, nicknamed Stella. There's plenty
of room inside for all their instruments -- keyboard, harp, upright bass, dulcimers, guitars, and a sound system. There's
even room for bicycles! Artie the cat sometimes travels with them.

Toby Walker is a unique, accomplished fingerstyle guitar virtuoso. Toby is adept at blues, rags, hot country picking,
and coaxes more out of a guitar than anyone can imagine, but the originality doesn't end there. He is also a skilled singer
and songwriter who draws inspiration from traditional and contemporary music. Toby takes that musical foundation and creates
something uniquely his own and has been eagerly received in various venues including concert halls, festivals and coffeehouses
throughout the U.S., England and Europe.
Carol and Toby became husband and wife on May 1, 2008. Carol
tours with Toby whenever she can, and enjoys her role as Executive Roadie.
